What we do
We help local businesses get more calls and customers. Our services include website design, Google Business Profile help, Google reviews, missed-call text-back, AI answering, Google and Facebook ads, AI automation, local SEO, funnels and lead magnets, analytics and creative.
Scope of work
Before any paid work starts, we agree in writing on what we will do for you, in a proposal, plan or invoice. That written scope is what you are buying. Anything outside it is extra work that we agree on separately.
The payment, ownership, handover and cancellation terms below are our defaults. They apply unless your written scope or invoice says otherwise. If your written scope and these terms differ, your written scope controls.
Quotes and pricing
We quote each project or plan before work starts. You see the price, and agree to it, before anything begins. Unless your quote says otherwise, it is good for 30 days from the date we send it.
Your side
- Give us accurate information about your business, services and service area.
- Give us the access we need, such as admin or manager access to your Google Business Profile, website, domain, ad accounts and phone system, and keep that access working.
- Review and approve drafts, ads and changes in a reasonable time. Delays on your side can move our dates.
- Make sure the content, photos and claims you give us are true and that you have the right to use them.
- You are responsible for your own business, licenses, pricing and the work you do for your customers.
Third-party platforms
Much of our work runs on other companies' platforms, such as Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Twilio, website hosting and domain providers, and email and texting tools. Each platform has its own rules, fees and policies, and can change them, suspend accounts or reject ads and listings at any time. We follow those rules but do not control them.
Unless your written scope or invoice says otherwise, ad spend is charged to your own card through your own ad accounts, such as Google Ads or Meta, and is separate from our fees. Other platform fees, such as hosting or domain fees, are also separate from our fees unless your written scope says otherwise.
What we do not promise
We do not guarantee rankings, a spot in the map pack, a number of calls, leads, reviews or sales, or any result in AI answers like ChatGPT. Search engines, AI tools and ad platforms decide those, and they change often. We do careful, honest work and show you what it brings in.
Who owns what
- Your business accounts are yours, including your Google Business Profile, ad accounts, domain, social accounts and phone numbers. We work in them with the access you give us, and you can remove that access at any time.
- Your content stays yours: your logo, photos, reviews, customer data and the text you give us.
- Website and ad assets we create for you, such as pages, copy, designs and ad creative, are yours once the related invoice is paid in full, unless your written scope says otherwise. Tools, templates and know-how we use across clients stay ours.
- When our work together ends, we hand over your site files, accounts and access within 14 days, unless your written scope says otherwise. Assets that are not yet paid for are handed over once their invoice is paid.
Payment
Unless your written scope or invoice says otherwise, invoices are due on receipt, and projects start with a 50% deposit. The rest of a project is billed as your quote or invoice sets out. If an invoice goes unpaid, we can pause or stop work right away until it is paid.
Cancellation and refunds
Unless your written scope or invoice says otherwise:
- Either of us can end a monthly plan with 30 days' notice by email. You can reach us at hello@getpulseplaybook.com. Work and billing continue through the notice period.
- Deposits are non-refundable. If a project is cancelled after it starts, you pay for the work done up to that point.
- There are no refunds for work already done.
- After cancellation, we hand over your files, accounts and access as described in "Who owns what."
Free Pulse Report
The free Pulse Report is free, with no obligation. We look at how your business shows up on Google and in AI search compared with your top local competitors, what your reviews, website and listing say to a customer, and the top 3 fixes we would make first. AI answers change from run to run, so that part is a snapshot, not a ranking. Nothing starts unless you tell us to start.

Limitation of liability
To the extent Iowa law allows, Pulse Playbook is not liable for lost business, lost profits, or indirect or consequential losses, or for anything caused by a third-party platform. If we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Iowa law
Iowa law governs these terms. If a court finds one part unenforceable, the rest still applies.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top is the current version. We will email clients about material changes. Your written scope stays as agreed unless we both change it.
