What we collect, and why.
Pulse Playbook is a Des Moines marketing agency for contractors and local businesses. It is a sole proprietorship owned and run by Mickey Housby, Owner, doing business as Pulse Playbook. This page covers our website, the free Pulse Report, our marketing services and our text message program.

What we collect
If you request a free Pulse Report or contact us:
- Your name, business name, email and mobile number.
- Your website or Google listing link, if you give it to us.
- Notes from our conversation, for example when we meet at a trade show.
- If you check the text box on our form: a record of your consent to texts, including the date and time, the page and the exact wording you agreed to.
If you become a client:
- The admin or manager access you give us to your Google Business Profile, website, ad accounts and other accounts. You stay the owner of your accounts.
- The business information, content and photos you give us for the work.
- Billing details. Payments are handled by our payment provider, and we do not store your full card number.
For everyone: messages you send us.
We do not buy or scrape your private files. The free Pulse Report is built from public information plus what you tell us.
How we use it
- To prepare your free Pulse Report and follow up with you about it by email, phone or text (text only if you opted in).
- To do the work you hire us for and report on it.
- To send invoices and take payment.
- To answer you when you write, call or text us.
We do not sell your information. We do not use it to run ads.
Text messages (SMS)
If you check the text box on our form, you agree to receive text messages from Pulse Playbook (Mickey Housby) at the mobile number you gave us. We text about your request: to confirm we received it, to send or follow up on your free Pulse Report, and about related Pulse Playbook services, including offers.
- How often: up to 4 messages per inquiry.
- Cost: Msg & data rates may apply.
- Stop: reply STOP to any text to opt out. We send one message confirming you are opted out, and then we stop.

- Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not share or sell mobile numbers or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. The only companies that handle your mobile number are the providers that deliver our texts, such as our text message provider and mobile carriers, and they get only what they need to send the message.
Who else sees it
We use service providers to host the site, store form requests, send email, send text messages, take payment and measure how the site is used (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity). They only get what they need to do that job. Text consent and mobile numbers are never shared for anyone else's marketing, as described above.
How long we keep it
We keep client details while we work together, and for a reasonable time after, for records, taxes or a question you might send later. We keep Pulse Report requests while we are following up and for a reasonable time after. We keep records of text consent so we can show what you agreed to. You can ask us to delete what we no longer need to keep.
Your choices
Email hello@getpulseplaybook.com or call 515.498.6370 to update your details, get a copy of what we have, or ask us to delete it. Reply STOP to any text to stop texts. Every marketing email has a way to unsubscribe.
This site, analytics and cookies
Pages may use cookies that are needed to run the site. To see how people find and use our website, we use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. They tell us things like which pages were visited, which buttons were clicked, roughly where visitors are (city level), and what device and browser they used. Clarity also records page interactions such as clicks and scrolling, so we can fix confusing pages. Microsoft says Clarity always masks what you type into form fields. These tools use cookies or similar storage on your browser. We use this only to improve our site. We do not sell it and we do not use it for advertising. Our site's code also tells Google Analytics not to use Google signals or ad personalization. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Learn more about how Google and Microsoft handle this data.
Children
This is for businesses, not for children.

If this page changes in a material way, we update the date at the top.
